Uso guiado de inteligencia artificial generativa en la enseñanza de la programación: un estudio cuasi-experimental sobre resultados de aprendizaje

El uso de herramientas de inteligencia artificial (IA) generativa en la enseñanza de la programación ha generado un debate creciente respecto a su impacto en el aprendizaje significativo y el desarrollo del pensamiento computacional. Diversos estudios señalan que la IA puede mejorar la retroalimentación inmediata y el análisis de errores cuando se integra bajo principios pedagógicos adecuados. El presente estudio analiza el efecto del uso guiado de IA generativa sobre el desempeño académico y la progresión del aprendizaje en estudiantes de Ingeniería en Sistemas Computacionales mediante un diseño cuasi-experimental con grupo experimental y grupo control. Para este estudio se consideró al grupo de primer semestre de la carrera de Ingeniería en Sistemas Computacionales en la asignatura de Fundamentos de Programación del Instituto Tecnológico Superior de Nochistlán; se evaluaron a los estudiantes al inicio y al final de la asignatura. Los resultados fueron analizados mediante promedios normalizados (0–100) en tres dimensiones clave: Pensamiento Computacional (PC), Lógica de Programación (LOG) y Sintaxis y Análisis de Código en C++ (PRG). Asimismo, se calculó el Índice de Ganancia Normalizada de Hake (g) como indicador de efectividad del aprendizaje. Complementariamente, los resultados perceptivos evidencian una valoración positiva del uso de la IA como apoyo para la comprensión del código, el análisis crítico y la motivación ante el error, sin que los estudiantes la perciban como un sustituto del docente. Los resultados evidencian que el grupo experimental presentó una ganancia de aprendizaje superior (g = 0.27) en comparación con el grupo control (g = 0.02), destacando particularmente en la dimensión de Programación y Análisis de Código. Se concluye que el uso guiado de IA puede fortalecer el aprendizaje cuando se integra como herramienta de refuerzo cognitivo orientada a la comprensión y reflexión del código.
