Resumen

El objetivo de la presente revisión sistemática fue analizar la relación entre el apoyo social y su efecto sobre el bienestar en personas con discapacidad. La revisión siguió el método prisma donde se incluyeron estudios de entre los años 2021 a 2026. La búsqueda se realizó en bases de datos de alto impacto como Scopus y Web of Science donde finalmente de 383 artículos recopilados, después de pasar por cada etapa del método prisma, se analizaron 10 artículos que eran los más relevantes. Los resultados evidenciaron que la existencia de un mayor apoyo social genera menor depresión, ansiedad y un incremento en la participación comunitaria, así también, el bienestar en general. A su vez se descubrió que las personas con discapacidad tienen mayores limitaciones sociales y un menor apoyo social percibido que las personas que no tienen ningún tipo de discapacidad. Se concluyó que el apoyo social contribuye a una mejor adaptación y bienestar en general de las personas discapacitadas, por lo que se hace necesario que las intervenciones se enfoquen en crear redes de apoyo, accesibilidad y participación activa. Se hace pertinente indicar que lo encontrado implica consideraciones prácticas relevantes para diseñar programas asistenciales dirigido a las poblaciones con discapacidad.
