Frugal Innovation and Entrepreneurship in education: a perspective for Latin-American

La Innovación Frugal (IF) y el Emprendimiento Frugal (EF) representan enfoques orientados a satisfacer demandas sociales a través de soluciones y modelos de negocios que enfatizan la sostenibilidad, la adecuación y el uso consciente de los recursos, lo que los hace particularmente adecuados para los países en desarrollo. La investigación cuantitativa y exploratoria que se presenta en este artículo tuvo como objetivo identificar y analizar los enfoques teórico-metodológicos que tienen el potencial de orientar la enseñanza y la difusión de la IF y el EF, considerando la perspectiva de los participantes de la Red Latinoamericana de Innovación Frugal (RELIF). Los datos se obtuvieron a través de un cuestionario en línea aplicado a los miembros de la RELIF. Se aplicaron tres técnicas de análisis de datos: estadística descriptiva, prueba de Wilcoxon-Mann-Whitney y estadística de Chi-cuadrado. Los resultados corroboraron tópicos teóricos mapeados en la literatura, destacando el carácter inter y transdisciplinario de la innovación y el emprendimiento frugales. El estudio reveló el potencial de esas áreas de estudio como vectores para la formulación e implementación de procesos de enseñanza y aprendizaje que buscan difundir el desarrollo sostenible en Instituciones de Educación Superior de América Latina. El trabajo también contribuyó a la práctica relacionada con la apropiación del valor frugal en dinámicas pedagógicas universitarias, especialmente para docentes e investigadores latinoamericanos.
