Resumen

En pleno siglo XXI, la discriminación hacia la comunidad LGBT en el ámbito laboral persiste, a pesar de los esfuerzos constantes de este grupo por alcanzar la igualdad de derechos. Esta investigación tiene como objetivo examinar los factores presentes en la discriminación laboral hacia personas LGBT a nivel global, identificados en la literatura científica, y proponer estrategias que contribuyan a su erradicación. La metodología utilizada fue la scoping review, una revisión sistemática exploratoria que permite mapear el conocimiento existente sobre un tema, identificar vacíos epistemológicos y orientar futuras investigaciones. El proceso se desarrolló en cinco etapas: 1) formulación de la pregunta de investigación; 2) identificación de estudios relevantes; 3) selección de estudios; 4) extracción de datos; y 5) análisis y síntesis de resultados. Los estudios revisados muestran que la discriminación laboral hacia personas LGBT ha sido más abordada en contextos como Estados Unidos, mientras que en Latinoamérica persisten vacíos significativos. Factores como la cultura, los estereotipos, las creencias religiosas y los niveles de aceptación social influyen en la exclusión de esta comunidad en el mercado laboral. Esta revisión destaca la necesidad de generar conocimiento localizado que permita diseñar políticas públicas inclusivas y estrategias laborales efectivas para garantizar los derechos laborales de las personas LGBT, reconociendo su potencial de contribución al desarrollo económico y social.
